Our Story
Autochart.ai was born in a medical clinic out of the frustrations of doctors and nurses saddled with the burden of documentation and paperwork which sucked the joy out of medicine, and deprived patients of feeling a connection with their provider.
We designed this tool for ourselves first and foremost. As we iterated and refined the tool we found that we could not live without it and every time we showed our tool to other providers, their lives were transformed like ours.

Our Mission
Our goal is to bring medicine into the 21st century through technology and digital innovation. We want practitioners to feel unstuck and enjoy medicine, capable of focusing more on things they 'want' to do, rather than the things they 'have' to do. We want them to leave work on time, enjoy better work-life balance, and fully be present with their families without stress over unfinished tasks.

Dr. Ali Okhowat is a physician, former Co-Founder of the World Health Organization's WHO Innovation Hub, and former Emergency Officer with WHO and the ICRC where he led emergency response operations across over two dozen conflict-affected countries around the world. He completed his medical and public health training at the University of Toronto, McGill University, and the University of British Columbia, with additional management training through the General Management Program at Harvard Business School. Dr. Okhowat is a self-professed tech nerd, linguaphile, and avidly keeps up with the latest advancements in AI and health technology.

Sara Badiei is a Professional Engineer with 20 years of experience at the intersection of medicine and technology. She earned a Master's in Biomedical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto. She has worked in over a dozen crisis and conflict zones, including Afghanistan and Gaza, with Doctors Without Borders, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the World Bank. Sara excels at assembling teams and streamlining processes for scalable success in diverse and challenging environments.

A BCIT graduate, Adans has mastered everything from DevOps to full-stack technologies, managing multimillion-dollar projects across Brazil, Europe, Asia, and North America. Fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and conversational German, he leads innovative AI projects and web applications, focusing on transformative outcomes, trust, and team-building. Beyond his technical acumen, Adans is a family-oriented leader who continually motivates his teams and stays at the cutting edge of AI advancements.
